What is dyslexia?
Dyslexia refers to many symptoms that result in difficulties with language skills such as reading, spelling, writing, and pronouncing words. Is your child bright, but feels defeated because he/she can't read like his/her classmates? His/her brain may work in unique ways that require a unique style of instruction.
What kind of specialized reading help do you offer?
The Wilson Reading System (WRS) is an intensive intervention program based on reading research and Orton-Gillingham teachings & principles that focus on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension instruction. Teaching strategies to decode/read and to encode/spell provide the learner with useful tools for life-long learning. WRS is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association.
What should I look for in a dyslexia tutor?
